The Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec is a State-owned enterprise constituted under the National Museums Act. It is composed of members appointed by the Government of Québec, including the Chair of the Board of Directors and the Director General of the Musée. The Musée counts on the support of 13 experienced directors who are passionate about culture, chosen for their diverse backgrounds and skills. They work with the Musée’s artisans to build a distinctive institution.
In accordance with section 4 of the Act respecting the governance of state-owned enterprises, more than the majority of our directors are independent.
Below are the expertise and experience profiles for the council, as required by the Act.
The Board of Directors has set up a Governance and Ethics Committee, a Human Resources Committee, and an Audit and Risk Management Committee.
